How we collect, use, and protect personal information — and the rights you have over it — in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25).

Last updated: June 25, 2026

Who this applies to

This policy covers personal information that Sherbrooke O.E.M. Ltd ("Sherbrooke OEM," "we," "us") collects through this website, including our contact and quote-request forms and our use of website analytics.

Person responsible for the protection of personal information

In accordance with Law 25, we have designated a person responsible for the protection of personal information. You may contact this person for any question about this policy, to exercise your rights, or to file a complaint:

What we collect

When you submit a form, we collect the information you provide: your name, and optionally your company, email address, phone number, market of interest, target throughput, and the contents of your message. When you browse the site with analytics enabled, we collect limited technical and usage data (such as pages viewed, approximate region, device and browser type, and a randomized identifier) through Google Analytics cookies.

Why we use it

We use form information to respond to your inquiry, prepare quotes, and provide parts and service. We use analytics data, only where you have consented, to understand how the site is used and to improve it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Consent and cookies

Essential cookies needed to operate the site are always active. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) load only after you accept them in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. You can decline at any time, and declining does not affect your ability to use the site or contact us. To change your choice later, clear this site's cookies and reload the page to bring the banner back.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate, under contracts that limit their use of it: Microsoft Azure (website hosting) and Google (website analytics). Some of these providers may process or store data outside Quebec, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure the information receives adequate protection. We may also disclose information where required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions only as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterward for follow-up and record-keeping, after which they are destroyed or anonymized. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' configured retention period.

How we protect it

We apply reasonable physical, organizational, and technological safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and affected individuals as required by law.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to withdraw your consent, and to request that it be de-indexed or deleted. To exercise any of these rights, contact our person responsible for the protection of personal information above. We will respond within the timeframe set by law (generally 30 days).

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your personal information or your request, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec at cai.gouv.qc.ca.
